Excluding Former Regime Members And Institution-Building in Transitional Societies: A Comparative Perspective
UNDP and UNSMIL organized a one day high level seminar titled “Excluding Former Regime Members And Institution-Building in Transitional Societies: A Comparative Perspective”. The seminar explored the relationship between exclusionary processes and institutional reform in post-conflict societies, drawing on the experiences of other countries including in particular the post-communist countries such as East Germany, Czech Republic, and Hungary, but also Bosnia-Herzegovina. The meeting sought to formulate some recommendations for the implementation of exclusionary processes.
